High quality billiard cue cases & bags

For every billiard player, the own cue is something very special. It is not uncommon to try out several models before THE ONE is finally found that fits ideally in the hand. To enjoy this precious piece as long as possible and to protect it during transport, you will find various billiard cue cases, billiard bags and billiard quivers.

Why a billiard cue should not be transported unprotected

Good cues are manufactured in a complex production, which often even involves manual labour, from many parts and materials. One of the main raw materials is wood, and this, as is well known, continues to work even after processing. In addition, there is the delicate lace made of leather.

Various environmental conditions, for example, wetness and temperature fluctuations, have a strong influence on the different materials, which in the worst case warp or are damaged. In addition, there are shocks and impacts that cannot always be prevented. Therefore, we recommend to always use a billiard cue case, a billiard cue case or a billiard cue bag for the transport.

Billiard bags

This storage option is the cheapest alternative, but offers only minimal protection. Another advantage of the billiard cue bag is that it is easy to transport, even if you are travelling on a bicycle. However, the disadvantages of a billiard bag are that they do not sufficiently protect the billiard cue from blows and moisture and offer little space for additional accessories.

When buying a suitable billiard cue bag, it is recommended that it is equipped with a zipper that goes across the entire width. This way, your billiard cue can be packed and unpacked more comfortably and safely. With an adjustable shoulder strap, you can adjust the billiard bag to your individual body size and personal taste. This gives you, for example, the choice of simply hanging the billiard cue bag over one shoulder or stretching it across your back to prevent it from slipping down. Some billiard bags also offer side pockets where accessories such as billiard chalk and the like can be stored. It is advisable that the inner part of the billiard cue bag has two separated chambers so that the two cue parts do not collide.

Typical materials from which billiard bags are made are, for example, nylon, leather, imitation leather and suede.

Depending on the model of the billiard bag, one or more upper and lower parts of your cues can be stored in each.

Billiard Quiver

In contrast to a billiard cue bag, a billiard quiver is more stable and protects your billiard cue better. In terms of price, they are higher than billiard bags, but they are cheaper in relation to a billiard case. The advantages of the billiard quivers include that each is equipped with a shoulder strap, and they provide space for more than one cue or tops. In addition, many billiard quivers are equipped with accessory pockets to store, for example, billiard chalk and other utensils. In contrast to the more bulky billiard case, it can be transported better and is also lighter. The disadvantage of the billiard quiver is that it is often heavier than a billiard bag due to its construction and material.

Manufacturers usually use leather or imitation leather as the outer material. Some are also made of nylon and vinyl.

If you have more than one billiard cue or additional upper and lower parts, we recommend using a billiard quiver instead of a billiard bag.

Billiard case

A billiard cue case offers the best protection for your billiard cue of all storage options. Other advantages include that billiard cases are equipped with plenty of space for several billiard cues and accessories and can even be secured by a lock if necessary. Special designs of billiard cue cases allow you to take it on the plane. On the other hand, among the disadvantages are that good billiard cases are more expensive than its alternatives. Since they are bulky, they are not as comfortable to carry as, for example, a billiard bag. This results with from the fact that billiard cue cases are not equipped with a shoulder strap.

A billiard case can be made of many materials. These include, for example, aluminium, leather, imitation leather and hard cardboard. The billiard cases look extremely noble if the inner lining is made of a velvet-like fabric.

If you own many and / or high-quality billiard cues, which you often transport, we recommend the billiard cue case.
